Santora takes fifth at state meet

Sophomore Mainland Regional High School diver Carissa Santora finished fifth in a field of 26 Tuesday, Feb. 27 at the New Jersey State Girls Individual Championships held at the College of New Jersey.

Santora of Somers Point scored 393.4 points.

Sarah Andrekovich of Kinnelon won the event with a 411.95 score.

Santora began competitive diving as a freshman and finished seventh in last year’s championships.
