Thomas wins three state swimming titles

Mainland Regional High School swimmer Joanna Thomas won two individual titles and joined her Lady Mustangs teammates in winning a relay event at Sunday’s NJSIAA Girls Individual Sate Swimming Championships held at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology.

Thomas, a junior, won the 200 freestyle in 1 minute, 51.84 seconds and also captured the 500 freestyle (4:55.12).

Later in the meet, Thomas joined teammates Stacey Rahter, Colleen McGroarty and Katy Bergen in winning the 400 freestyle relay ( 3:37.79).
