Holy Spirit wins home opener against St. Joesph
The Holy Spirit High School varsity baseball team rallied to win its home opener against the St. Joseph, 9-7, on Monday.
The Spartans jumped out to 5-1 lead after three innings, but the Wildcats came roaring back to take a 7-6 lead in the top half of the sixth. The Spartans didn't let down and scored three runs in the bottom half of that inning to take the lead back and hold on for the win.
Holy Spirit's Rob Mancinelli hit a three-run homer and Billy Chafe went 3 for 3 at the plate.
